A Green Monster Grins

the ball is carried by the left field wind

over the bleacher wall

-- six umpires convene like monks in black robes

to declare a home run, and the beginning of the end

of the suffering for the Red Sox

and their fans.

And wasn't it great

when the curse

was lifted

during a lunar eclipse

in

St. Louis

of all places!
